Ed Alarca

Senior Physiotherapist

Ed commenced work at Coastal Physiotherapy in 2015. Growing up on the Central Coast, he has always enjoyed an active lifestyle, involved in multiple sports throughout his youth, particularly in representative Basketball. Having a passion for health and helping others, naturally led him to his career in healthcare. Initially pursuing a career in Emergency Nursing, he then furthered his studies, completing a Masters of Physiotherapy. Outside of work, Ed enjoys spending time outdoors with his two young and active children.

Over the years Ed has gained a diverse skill set that brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our practice. From his consulting role with Orthopaedic Specialists at COSI, and as lead physio providing expert post-operative care during their private clinics. Additionally, his previous experience in emergency departments and urgent care services has developed his expertise in acute care. His thorough and holistic approach makes him a valuable member of our team.

Ed treats a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, orthopaedics and post-operative rehabilitation, with a keen interest in assessment and treatment of the shoulder, knee and ankle. He has APA accreditation in dry needling, with strong background in strength and conditioning and functional fitness training.
