Dance physiotherapy

Some injuries are unique to dance and require a thorough knowledge of the musculoskeletal system as well as dance technique. In particular foot and ankle injuries,  patella-femoral/knee injuries, hip and lower back injuries are treated to minimise time away from dancing and maximise recovery by modifying technique until the injury is healed.

Sometimes dancers just want some advice or assistance to improve hip turnout or techniques to overcome ‘sickling’ of the feet when performing releves.

Additionally, screening is provided for en pointe and tertiary dance screening for those students applying for full-time dance.
